Credere Te marked a significant milestone for me as it followed a prolonged period of creative dormancy, during which I struggled to produce pieces that I felt carried creative and emotional substance. Working through Credere Te reignited my creative process, and it reaffirmed my belief in the power of perseverance. The relatively simple melodies and harmonies encapsulate the journey I underwent in working on this piece, learning to trust and believe in my own words and experiences as valuable enough to be shared with others. Credere Te translates to “I believe you”, and I hope that the piece serves as a reminder that our experiences and lives are more than valid to be shared with others, even if they seem typical and normal in our own eyes.
