Bio

Brad Eargle (b.1988) is an active composer and educator who’s works include pieces for winds, chamber music, works for solo instruments, and electronic creations. His music draws from several influences, including contemporary wind music, popular styles, and the idea that good music isn’t always found in a textbook.

Brad holds a Master of Music in Composition / Theory from Penn State University, where he studied with Paul Barsom. Prior to that, Brad studied with Jim Haines at Elizabethtown College, where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education. He has twice been awarded an ASCAP Plus Award in recognition of his work as an emerging composer.

Brad is currently the Music Director at Juniata High School, where he teaches all aspects of instrumental and vocal music. His current composition projects include music for his students, works for skilled amateur musicians, and pieces for chamber ensembles. He also performs throughout the area. Brad resides in Harrisburg, PA with his wife, Liz.

Brad is a member of ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers), SCI (Society of Composers, Inc.), NAfME (National Association for Music Education), and PMEA (Pennsylvania Music Educators Association).
